First and foremost, we'd like to encourage you to pop in at your local library, or maybe a branch you've never visited yet! Our main goal as an organization is to get people curious about and loving their libraries, and what better way to do that than by swinging by for a visit! If you'd like to go above and beyond, though, we'd love to encourage you to either become a member or make a donation! Either way, your money will go directly back into programs and materials for the Library, which will help make it an even better resource for your community! That just about does it for National Friends of Li That just about does it for National Friends of Libraries Week 2024! What we've posted is just a tiny fraction of what the Friends have done this year, and we really want to emphasize that! There are hundreds of members and even more volunteers all over Fresno County (and sometimes beyond) who give their time and money every day to help make sure their communities have the best library experiences possible. If you'd like to join us, we're always happy to have you! Our Bookshop is open three days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM at 5568 E Kings Canyon, next to the Sunnyside Library) and could always use more volunteers! (If you just want to shop for books, though, that's great, too! Your purchases help us pay for things like extra Summer At Your Library programs and t-shirts to give away to kids!)
